Sports Massage

Sports massage uses deep manual therapy techniques to help you recover from sport and physical exercise. Sports massage can release tension, reduce pain in tissues and help release restriction in the body that may impact movement and performance.

Many people can benefit from sports massage, not only those who partake in a specific sport or training routine.
A sports massage may feel intense at times, however should never feel painful. Your therapist will also use stretching or muscle energy techniques to help target specific areas and muscles used in movements during sports.

Deep Tissue Massage

This massage style uses deep manual therapy techniques to reach deeper layers of muscle tissue. Deep tissue massage is an excellent way to release tight and fatigued muscle tissue, release stubborn muscular knots and improve blood flow to promote performance and healing of tissues. 

The stresses of day-to-day life means it’s common for tension to build in key areas such as the neck, back and shoulders. Deep tissue massage can benefit many, from competing athletes to busy parents!


Pregnancy Massage

Massage during pregnancy can be highly relaxing and have many therapeutic effects for mother and baby. Massage can give relief from the normal discomforts associated with pregnancy such as headaches, congestion, swollen ankles and feet and back ache. 

Pregnancy massage is safe for most mums-to-be. There may be some instances when massage therapy may not be suitable, such as during high-risk pregnancies or with certain health conditions such as pre eclampsia or gestational diabetes. It is always advised to check with your doctor or midwife.

At Osteocure, we have specific equipment suitable for expectant mothers even through the later stages of pregnancy, such as seated or even standing massage. Pregnancy massage is available from the 12th week of pregnancy. 

Abdominal Detox Massage

Abdominal detox massage is used to improve mobility and motility in the digestive system. This massage can help to remove tension within the abdomen, loosen pockets of waste and gas restricted through the digestive tract as well as improve overall function of digestion.
