+ Why do I feel so stiff?

There are many causes of stiffness, some that can be due to medical or inflammatory conditions. However, often stiffness is due to daily patterns such as our desk set-up and car seat position. Walking patterns can also cause certain parts of the body not to move. This causes the local muscles to stiffen and we then feel tight and “stiff”! When did you last move your body through its full range of motion?

+ Do I have sciatica?

“Sciatica” is when the sciatic nerve, which runs from your lower back to your feet is irritated. This can be caused by a number of different things, such as a tight muscle in your buttock, inflammation around your spine or changes to the discs in your back. At Osteocure or specialists are highly trained in identifying the cause of your ‘sciatica’ and will explain this to you clearly so you feel in control and have your mind put at ease. We will also equip you with the very best exercises for lower back pain so you feel empowered and equipped!

+ Why can I feel pain in my buttock and legs?

If your sciatic nerve is irritated, you can often feel pain where the nerve travels, which is through your buttock and down your leg. The muscles in this area can also tighten in response to the pain which can restrict your movement and cause more pain!

+ Why does my back hurt at night?

There are many causes of night pain, some that need assessing especially if this is not relieved by changing position in bed. Often, lying down can aggravate certain types of back pain, bringing our joints closer together. Also, when we sleep and our body isn’t moving there is less drainage of our tissues and inflammation can build up.
